Quick Intro

Get the cards. Place them in a stack in the center. Make sure everyone at the table knows that this is a game about perspectives.

Then choose your approach:

Blue – The Official Rules

If you prefer structure and clarity, start here.

If you play with 3 cards for each assignment, we recommend the rules of Mimic Octopus for a detailed description.

Orange – Invent Your Own

Feeling Creative? Entrepreneurial? Adjust or create your own gameplay with these cards.
Example: Use Integral Game for exploring personal conflict(s)

Make up your own scoring system, scoring extra points. Share your "new" gameplay with us, they might end up at our website!

In Orange mode, you're free to optimize, experiment, and push the limits.

Green – It's Not What You Play, It's How

In Green mode, the cards are tools for connection and reflection. After each round, pause and share what came up for you. Ask each other: "What's alive in you right now?" or "How did this move feel?"

Use the cards to start conversations rather than to "win." Here, the focus is on group experience and getting to know each other on a deeper level.

Yellow – Playing With the Ways of Playing

Yellow mode is meta-play. You notice how you're playing, and that you can play differently. Mix the modes above and reflect together on how each approach changes the experience.

See the game as a living system, not a fixed product. This is the "game of games," where learning and perspective-taking matter more than any outcome.
